Red Ribbon Campaign: On Saturday January 31st at NOON Rochester will join a Global Day of Solidarity demanding freedom for Palestinian prisoners. As we hear the cries from detainees in Texas, “Let us out!” we fear the tactics practiced here, a learned dehumanization! We demand “ICE OUT,” we say “Abolish ICE!” We will tie red ribbons to the trees, to the street signs, to the railings, and the bushes.
We will tie red ribbons around the stones in front of the Farash building, to communicate to our Congressman Joe Morelle, at his office building, that it is time he acknowledges the Genocide and stops sending arms to Israel, and stands against the violence, ethnic cleansing and stealing of land in the West Bank. This is an election year for Joe, and we will not forget his wholesale collusion in the Genocide of Palestinians.
We ask that the Jewish Federation, whose office is also in the Farash Building, use whatever influence they might have to help free the 9,100+ hostages held in Israeli prisons. Palestinian Healthcare Workers, women, men and children are tortured in Israeli prisons. The abuse is well documented by B’Ttselem, the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in their reports on “The Israeli Prison System, a network of torture camps;” “Welcome to Hell” (August 7, 2024), and “Living Hell” (January 19th, 2026).
