On Saturday, March 28, Rochester joins thousands of communities nationwide for No Kings Day as the third mass mobilization against authoritarianism since the movement began. Organizers expect this to be the largest peaceful protest in American history.
No Kings is rooted in nonviolent direct action and de-escalation—that commitment is what makes us powerful. This event happens rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Follow marshal instructions on the ground; they're there to keep everyone safe and moving together. And spread the word—tell your neighbors, your coworkers, your friends. The more of us who show up, the louder the message.
At the last event on October 18, nearly 10,000 people showed up across Monroe County to demand NO KINGS and an end to this fascist administration. Thanks to all who stood in solidarity with the Rochester community to make our voices heard.
Many also contributed to mutual aid efforts. Items collected will be distributed by the organizations listed below. If you have a request, you can reach out to any of these organizations or our team to get connected to a local resource.
-
Roc Food Not Bombs: solidarity not charity: free hot meals every Wednesday and Saturday, and free coffee and baked goods on Wednesdays.
-
Roc Mutual Aid: a cooperative network helping our community sustain itself, connecting people who are in need of aid to those who can offer it.
-
Agape Haven: reduce health disparity, eradicate intergenerational poverty, and foster upward mobility, especially within Rochester’s underserved areas.
