On October 18, nearly 10,000 people showed up across Monroe County to demand NO KINGS and an end to this fascist administration. Thanks to all who stood in solidarity with the Rochester community to make our voices heard.
Many also contributed to mutual aid efforts. Items collected will be distributed by the organizations listed below. If you have a request, you can reach out to any of these organizations or our team to get connected to a local resource.
-
Roc Food Not Bombs: solidarity not charity: free hot meals every Wednesday and Saturday, and free coffee and baked goods on Wednesdays.
-
Roc Mutual Aid: a cooperative network helping our community sustain itself, connecting people who are in need of aid to those who can offer it.
-
Agape Haven: reduce health disparity, eradicate intergenerational poverty, and foster upward mobility, especially within Rochester’s underserved areas.
Now, let's turn that energy into community action.
With the risk to many Rochester residents' SNAP and food assistance programs, show up again in solidarity by dropping off food to food cupboards throughout Monroe County.
Additional ways to get involved:
-
Stop Avelo: Avelo Airlines has accepted a $150 million to operate flights, aiding in the illegal removal of individuals without their right to a fair hearing or due process. Use the toolkit to speak out against fascist Avelo.
-
Black Out the System: shutting down the U.S. economy - strategically and peacefully - by removing our labor, our spending, our financial support, forcing the system to listen. Next blackout will be Nov 25-Dec 2.
-
Boycott Spotify: Spotify has been running a series of recruitment ads for ICE and said that the ads do not violate their advertising policy. If you haven't already, consider unsubscribing and tell others to boycott, too.
